From My First Lesson Of Media I Have Come To The Understanding That The Key Concepts Of Media Are:

• Media Language - the nuts and bolt of media products
• Representation - how people, especially certain groups such as men, women , young people , ethnic groups etc , are portrayed by the media
• Audience - the ways of describing and appealing to consumer of media
• Institution - the producers and regulators of the media

In the exam they will be testing my knowlodge on how well i know and understand the four concepts. In section A, Media Language and Represantion - i will have to analyse the representation of people offered in a 5minute clip from a British TV drama using the elements of cinematography, editing, sound and mis en scene.I will be tested on my knowlodge of the relationship between the people who produce, distribute and exhibt the films.I have to fully break down what each concept means and how they contribute to media itself.
