"Monarch Of The Glen " Clip

The clip shows the representation of age in the sense that the sixteen year old in the clip fits into the stereotype to what is perceived as how teenagers look and behave. I as a viewer got this impression immediately when i saw the girl, she is dressed in a way to appeal to her age wearing jeans and a simple top and what looks like trainers. She comes out of the house looking over at what looks to be an older boy. This is a typical teenage portrayal cliche in the sense that it is a very common showing that teenage girls always go through this faze of liking or going with older boys. Also it ties with the teenage "period" of just being heavily aware of the opposite sex. Another representation of age is when she is told to pack her bags and leave she gives a little tantrum before storming to her room. This is a typical convention used for teenagers especially teenage girls, it goes with the portrayal that teenage girls are highly emotional. Towards the end of the clip we see that instead of returning back to school to do her exams she instead decides to pack her bags and run away. A common and largely shown action that is commonly done by teenagers.
